At Special Needs Care we're committed to answering the highly specific care requirements of young adults over 18 years of age of all religious and ethnic backgrounds with learning disabilities, including but not limited to those with Downs Syndrome and Autism. We particularly aim to bridge the gap between special needs schools and permanent care homes for adults by providing a supportive domestic environment attuned to the needs of young people.
Based in Cheshire, Special Needs Care delivers an entirely new concept in the care of young people with learning disabilities that moves away completely from the concept of institutionalised accommodation, outside investors and offers instead small family units.
In a Special Needs Care house, young people can live full and active lives, enjoying high levels of stimulation, education and social interaction, plus every opportunity to integrate with friends, family and the local environment.
Because we operate in small private home units of no more than three service users, we have the opportunity to develop the whole person through individual growth, practical domestic skills and the development of social capabilities, so each individual can live a rich and rewarding life. We also work hard to ensure that capabilities learned at special needs schools are further developed and refined.
"We accept our shared responsibility to create a high quality, personalised system which offers people the highest standards of professional expertise, care, dignity, maximum control and self determination."
