Highly qualified staff

Special Needs Care recruit staff on the basis of their knowledge, skills and abilities within the social care field and in accordance with strict recruitment and selection guidelines following recommendations as set by the National Minimum Standard. Each staff member brings with them their own unique persona and a multitude of life experiences that can help to enrich the lives of our service users.

As a minimum we expect NVQ L2 qualification in Direct Care/Health and Social Care, though more often our support staff are educated to degree Level.

Senior staff are expected to achieve the higher levels of NVQ or equivalent within a given timescale upon appointment.

Our staff selection policy is in strict accordance with the Care Standards Act 2000 and Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) standards. All staff must submit to a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.

We undertake rigorous staff training programmes and monitoring procedures, and we work closely with our personnel at all times to ensure service users are happy, well cared for and enjoying life to the full.

"There is no question that it is a human right issue that all people with learning disabilities have the choices and control over their lives that so many of us take for granted-a life like any other."

'Valuing People Now' – HM Government, Rt Hon Alan Johnson MP, March 08

We invest extensively in the best staff to secure our service users’ well-being, and to ensure that there is a familiarity and continuity of care that can support the service user to feel confident and therefore empowered within their own home.

If you would like to seek new challenges and be part of a team delivering an entirely new concept in the private care sector and have NVQ Level 2 in Care or equivalent with relevant experience, please contact either our Manager, Jan or Barnabas.
