Recruiting the very best staff

At Special Needs Care, we recruit staff on the basis of their extensive knowledge, proven skills and clear abilities in social care. We also follow the strict recruitment and selection guidelines set by the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and the Care Quality Commission. All staff must submit to a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check, and must have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, though our support staff are frequently educated to degree level. Upon appointment, our staff are expected to achieve the higher levels of NVQ (or equivalent) within a given timescale.

Beneficial life experience and training

Each staff member brings with them their own unique personality and a multitude of life experiences that can help to enrich the lives of our service users. We also undertake rigorous staff training programmes and monitoring procedures, and constantly re-train our staff as a response to the specific and changing needs of new and existing clients. At all times, we work closely with our personnel to ensure service users are happy, well cared for and enjoying life to the full.
